Trapped South Africans to be evacuated from Chad

Fifteen South Africans trapped in Chad are to be evacuated by French forces. French troops have been rescuing foreigners trapped in the Chadian capital, Ndjamena, which is besieged by rebel forces.

South African Foreign Affairs spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa says they have made contact with all the South Africans known to be in Chad. The South Africans reportedly work for cellphone and mining companies.

Chadian government troops claim they have driven attacking rebel forces away from the outskirts of Ndjamena.

you know sometimes Africa has lots of depressing news!! the situation in most of african countries is getting apathetic : so much civil wars!

It has always been like this. Especially after the end of the colonial era, when the Europeans retreated and left a mess behind them :-(

I hope that this is stationary perioud that will resolve some time I pray for this, history of great democratic countries like USA , France and South Africa passed by some struggle periods to reach the great results, I hope this is the rule in the rest of our continenet... this is too optimistic for the time being :(

how is that!!! I think that the greatness of South Africa is in her new face, her great leader Nelson Mandela`lived for. SA success isn't about economy only. it involves lots of aspects including the human rights, Democracy and well being for all citizens. I think South Africa would have never reached her present success without the amazing changes that happened there transferring it into a leader for peace loving nations.
look at your Journal and your life for example they are representing the new South African citizen life and are real example on South Africa's real success.

Thanks for your optimism! Of course there are huge problems that can make even the strongest person desperate... But I wouldn't be doing what I am doing if I didn't believe in the success of this country.
