His Zulu name means: "The one that is laughing is endangering you".

Can this man become our president and lead South Africa to better days? It is a very controversial question. Watch this and make up your mind.

I can see why he is so popular with many. He is very charismatic.
I hope for South Africa's sake, the allegations against him are not true, and he is what he appears to be. A friendly, out-going, well-spoken individual, with South Africa's well-being at heart. Not what his Zulu name seems to imply.

That name seems rather ominous to me. It gives the impression that the laughing is a ruse to distract you from what the person is really thinking. Is that what it is supposed to convey?
If so, that is a strange name to give to a child, who probably hasn't had time to develop traits such as deceit yet. Was the name given at birth?

Gedleyehlekisa is the name in isiZulu. It literally means "He, who laughs with you while he's endangering you". According to the traditions of the amaZulu, the father gives a name to his son after consulting the clan's spiritual leader (call it shaman). Tradition says that this name, although unofficial, often coincides with the personal traits which the boy later develops (in most cases). So it is like a prediction.

But this name is rarely used for JZ. People know him better as "Msholozi" - his clan name.

I suppose he'll be put under such pressure that most ppl will finally accept that he aint a uniting figure, because of the divisions his persona causes everywhere. Politics isnt just about people's love and one's personal charisma.

I think the presidential battle will be between Sexwale and Ramaphosa. People are fed up of incompetent, irrelevant leaders and they'd gladly have some break. A proven leader would do the job.

Of course, there's always the threat of corruption (those two are businessmen) and also the possibility that they'd try to rule the country like a corporation, while business principles are often irrelevant in politics.

I am not surprised that you are presenting the technocrat's point of view.
Also I did not like the way the video is trying to present the issue as an ethnic rivalry between the amaXhosa and the amaZulu. This is absolutely not the case. Both peoples fought together against apartheid along with several other ethnicities and it`s unfair to put the question on an ethnic basis. Besides Zuma was not very well known among the amaZulu...
