The New Statesman has a morning newsletter, and after they cover UK politics they have short sections on the rest of the world. One morning they covered the US recounts the same way they would an emerging democracy - and I'm sure it wasn't an accident.

"UNITED STATES Melania Trump has called for Donald Trump's deputy national security advisor, Mira Ricardel, to be dismissed from her post in an unprecedented move. Analysts of the troubled country, where recent elections were marred by reports of voter suppression, see the row as a sign of the continuing influence of the strongman president's close relatives over matters of high policy."
