Is the NNP's decision to disband of no significance, or a sign of a new beginning?

The final nail will be knocked into the NNP's coffin tomorrow when its Federal Congress meets in Johannesburg to act on its executive's recommendation that the party disband.
In effect it means that the NNP will cease to exist on the evening of the final certification of the results of the local government election
NNP secretary-general Darryl Swanepoel says the reason for the date is to allow about 60 NNP local councillors who chose not to cross the floor to other parties last year to finish their five-year term.
