Obama's tactic of focused targeting on particular individuals and then killing them with fleshless drone gadgets may seem more cowardly as opposed to sending thousands of troops in for no known reason and no clear plan...

...But it's the cheaper option. And these are times of crisis, right? Think from the pragmatic side, people! ;-)

Hmmm I am watching CNN right now and what do I see? "Cheney criticizes Obama, says killing of American hypocritical". Cheney is the last one who should be opening his mouth about this right now. And I wonder what made him speak so much after the end of his term, why was he so silent during it?

There are other ways to bring a regime down than sending a thousand troops, as became evident in the recent months.

Other than that, how are you doing on your trip?

Bush, supported by the majority of the American nation, wanted to bring down the Taliban regime, which they did. By sending thousands of troops. The problem was not bringing down the regime, it was what to do next. That's why I said "no plan". Maybe I was wrong for phrasing the first part as "for no known reason". In Afghanistan's case the reason was easy to explain and understand. In Iraq's case - not so much.

I heard a certain local helped you a bit with getting to know the place? :-)

I was in Greece once. It was a long time ago. I loved the sun. And I am saying it as an African, so it means a lot. :-)

No, never. The closest I have been is Kenya and of course Malawi and Zambia.
